4 Steps to Complete an IGNOU PGCINDS Project (MISP 21)
The IGNOU PGCINDS Project is a comprehensive study of your place of employment. The IGNOU PGCINDS Project Work aims to strengthen your ability for situation analysis, and you will be required to use what you have learnt in various PGCINDS courses throughout the project. It is a technique for applying knowledge gained in various classes to real-world challenges and concerns in the field of Smart City Development and Management.
IGNOU PGCINDS Project work is Six credits, which takes around 180 hours to complete. Your project work may range in length from 10,000 to 12000 words (60-70 pages). Bear this in mind as you choose a topic for your project.
The purpose is to communicate all of your thoughts within this word limit. You may write your project in either English or Hindi. We propose that you type and bind your Project Work.
The project will be carried out in stages, as illustrated below. You must do research on the accepted and finalised MISP-21 subject.
Step 1: Writing an IGNOU PGCINDS Synopsis
Your IGNOU PGCINDS Synopsis is simply a summary of the work you want to undertake and the methodology you intend to use. To begin writing an IGNOU PGCINDS Synopsis, the first step is to choose an acceptable project topic. After describing the primary concept, schedule, and scope of the project, you may pick a title. You should make every effort to keep the title as concise and accurate as possible. Before settling on a project topic, thoroughly consider your possibilities and confer with your supervisor.
Step 2: Submission of the IGNOU PGCINDS Synopsis
After selecting the project work option, you must submit a written copy of your IGNOU PGCINDS Proposal along with the Project Proposal form. You should verify that the P.P form for your IGNOU MISP-21 Synopsis has been signed by your Academic Counselor or the Teacher/Professional/Researcher who has agreed to act as your Supervisor.
The IGNOU PGCINDS proposal will be approved by the Programme Coordinator. You may begin working on the project after the project proposal has been accepted. If an update to the IGNOU MISP-21 synopsis is proposed, include the faculty members’ suggestions and critiques into your updated proposal.
Step 3: Writing an IGNOU PGCINDS Project Report
The two most critical qualities of any endeavour are originality and clarity. Bear in mind that as part of your project, your analytical and communication talents will be evaluated. This style of writing is advantageous not only for recalling memories and telling stories, but also for organising your thoughts.
While writing your IGNOU PGCINDS Project report, keep the following points in mind:
• The scope of the Project Work is determined by the subject matter of the project. The Project Work, on the other hand, should adhere to a standard word count of 10000–12000 words (60–70 pages). Your project work can be written in Hindi or English.
• Divide your report into four or five chapters. Each chapter is broken into parts and subsections. This establishes a separate foundation for your project and prevents divergent ideas from flowing into distinct sections.
• An introduction is required because it sets the precise beginning point for the endeavour. Following that, the Aims and Objectives should be concisely expressed.
• To some extent, the strength of your approach determines the quality of your project. As a result, the procedure must be precisely specified. To be more specific, methodology relates to the following: I the study’s theoretical perspectives and logic of inquiry; (ii) data collection methodologies; and (iii) data analysis tools or processes.
• A synopsis of comparable or notable research projects/studies conducted by other scholars.
• Your points of view should be logically connected and concluded at the conclusion of each section. It is critical to maintain the connections between the various components.
• At the conclusion of each chapter, insert a paragraph headed ‘Summing Up.’
• Write the project in your own terms, utilising simple terminology and concise phrases wherever possible; • Organize your results in accordance with the aim. • When necessary, cite and properly reference photographs, maps, schematics, and illustrations.
Step 4: Submission of IGNOU PGCINDS Project Report
Prepare two copies of your IGNOU PGCINDS Report and submit one with a cover letter to the following address for review:
Registrar’s Assistant (Project Section),
Section of Projects,
Division of Student Evaluation,
Indira Gandhi National Open University, Indira Gandhi National Open University,
Maidan Garhi,

Please keep in mind that the IGNOU PGCINDS Report is included in your Term-End Examination (TEE), and the Project Work will be graded on a 100-point scale.
