The IGNOU MEC Project is an independent investigation and your own work. IGNOU MEC Project Work is worth six credits, and you are required to devote around 180 hours to its completion. We would prefer that you type and bind your IGNOU MEC Project Report during submission. How to collect data for the IGNOU MEC Project Work

If the data collected from secondary surveys is unavailable or insufficient, you may need to collect the primary surveys. Before beginning data collection, review the requirements you’ve outlined for primary data with your supervisor. Specify what you require and for what purposes. Then, determine the optimal data collection method. The source of the data is useful for determining the technique of data collection.

To ensure data reliability in project work, you must explain or justify the following:

• The design of questionnaires and the appropriateness of data collection techniques
• Fieldwork techniques;
• Process followed for field supervision and recording; and
• Data verification and quality control

How to organize the IGNOU MEC Project Report

There are following basic sections to organize your IGNOU MEC Project Report work;

1. The first page of the project report is the cover page that include the title of the project, your name, address, year, and enrollment number.
2. The second page should outline the report’s contents, followed by a list of tables, maps, and figures or illustrations on the third page.
3. The fourth page is reserved for expressing gratitude.
4. The fifth page should provide an alphabetized list of acronyms.

5. Beginning on page 6th, you must provide an introduction to your project and its approach, including the justification for choosing the project theme, objectives, research, and methodology, as well as a description of the techniques or methods used for data collection and analysis, study limits, and so on. This will be the opening section of the project report.
6. Beginning with the second chapter, the major body of the project will be presented.
7. In the last chapter, you will talk about what you found and make any suggestions that make sense.

Criteria to Write an IGNOU MEC Synopsis/Proposal

You should include the following in the IGNOU MEC Project Synopsis/Proposal:

• The title of the project is Goals of the research include
• The following issues or questions should be raised:
• The type of data that will be necessary is
• If applicable, developed hypothesis, research methodology, and expected outcome.

Select a topic you enjoy and that keeps your attention. You must have a thorough understanding of the geographic region you intend to use as the basis for your project. Make it conveniently accessible. Clearly define the project’s objectives to ensure they can be achieved. Establish two to four objectives. The methodology outlines the logic of inquiry, specifies the precise data to acquire, details the technique of data collection, and identifies the statistical, econometrical, and qualitative instruments used in data analysis. The project proposal must maintain consistency in its questions or issues, stated objectives, formed hypothesis, if any, and methods. The project proposal will have between two and four pages.

Evaluation Criteria of the IGNOU MEC Project work

Your IGNOU MEC Project Report will go to an assessor once we receive it. You must achieve at least a 40% on your project work to pass this course. The review of your project will take at least two months from the time you submit it.

You should make two copies of your project (MECP-101), but only send one to the address below.

Since they will not return your project work, we suggest you keep a copy for yourself. Attach a signed copy of the declaration from Annexure “C” to your project work. Remember that the IGNOU MEC Project Work counts as part of your final exam, and the Project Report carries a total of 100 points, distributed as follows:

Distribution of one hundred points for the project work report weight

1. Clarity of the subject: 10%
2. Language, consistency, style, etc.: 20%,
3. Objectives and methods are clear. 2%
4. Analysis and interpretation 25% of the total
5. Conclusions 10%
6. References 10%

Note: 

• Each project must be unique and written in the local language.
• Do not replicate or reproduce any public or unpublished project, or it will face cancellation.
• Support arguments with data, reports, or published material.
• Cite information correctly and explain your research methods in the first chapter. Include a bibliography at the end.
• Organize all your sources—records, documents, reports, interviews, group meetings, newspapers, magazines, and more—under distinct headings.
